Reading and sharing
Read it, print it, send it to a friend, quote a paragraph with a link back. Do not republish whole articles elsewhere, pass them off as your own, or feed the archive into a product as though you wrote it.
Ownership
The writing belongs to Cora Whitfield and to Everyday Nesting. Photographs are licensed from stock libraries or taken here. Brand and product names appear only to describe things and belong to their owners.
No warranty
This is one person’s experience in the places she has rented, not professional advice. Buildings differ in wiring, ventilation, water, plaster and light, and outcomes differ with them. Test any finish or cleaner on a hidden patch first, read what is on the label, never mix cleaning products, and stop when something is going badly.
Renting in particular
Articles about rented homes describe what worked under my lease. Leases are not the same. Before drilling, adhering, painting or removing anything that is not yours, check your own agreement and ask your landlord. I am not responsible for a deposit.
